Heart Pumping Exercise

Image result for heart working out

This week we got our bodies moving and our hearts pumping with some cardio exercise!

The 3's class went first. We warmed up with an "Aerobics USA" cd.

The cd had us breathing in and out, marching in place, stepping side to side and kicking  :-)

A few friends said they were getting tired and needed a little rest  :-)
Then we tried arm circles  :-)

  And Jumping Jacks!

Jax did not want to try the jumping jacks....but he did some good doggy crawling!

Next, we tried running in place.  (The staying in place part was a little tricky)   :-)

We worked our legs with some lunges

Chloe looks likes she has done lunges before  :-)
The frog jumps really wore me out!!  Many of the "frogs" jumped over to the rug with the pond.

After that I showed the class how to do mountain climbers....they did surprisingly well!

We ended by skipping across the rec room!

4's Room

  Great marching 4's friends!

 Time for arm circles!

  Stepping side to side!!

Time for jumping jacks....lots of energy!!!

They got the hang of the wide leg toe touches really quickly!  Audrey said "Miss Kellie if you want it be easier you can have your legs closer together!"  (Originally she had her legs spread super far apart...)

 Mountain climbers!

Squats are a great way to work your legs...I told the class to pretend they are sitting down and then stand back up  :-)

Now we are trying some frog jumps..."ribbit ribbit!"

 Taking a little rest   :-)
A few friends told me there legs felt funny when they did lunges....I said "That's your muscles working!"

 Greyden is wore out!
Great "high knee kicks" Hayden!   She said "Watch I can do it to my face!"
Maggie is all tired out......

2's Room
We started  by marching in place  :-)

Side to side....I called them "big claps"

 Jumping so high!!!

They  did pretty good with arm circles  :-)

 Nice lunges Campbell!

Miss Emily M is helping Kate with the wide legged toe touches.

Everyone was pretty excited for the frog jumps!

 Nice squat Addie!

Nursery
I brought an inflatable skeleton to explore.....  (His name is Mr. Bones)

I also brought a few zipper food toys....Ethan is chewing on a banana and Rowan is rolling a pumpkin!
Alex is touching "Mr. Bones"

Miss Angel stood "Mr. Bones" up    :-)
Pema and Sophie just woke up from nap.  Pema was not sure about "Mr. Bones..."
Hi there!

Ethan liked the big skeleton alot!

Sophie is holding some corn  :-)

Toddlers

First I read a funny faces food book.  The kids were excited to see Elmo!

Then it was time to play "Feed Mr. Yummy!"

Leona fed him some yummy yellow corn!

Abe is feeding Mr. Yummy a peach!

They thought my sound effects were pretty funny. Every time someone put food in his mouth I said "Yum yum yum yum yum"   :-)

Hi Piper!
We finished by looking at a book of colorful foods.  We even saw a few of the foods from our game!
