Simon Says, "Move Your Muscles!"
We got our muscles moving this week in Nutrition Expedition with a muscular rendition of the classic, "Simon Says"! Using a diagram of the human muscular system, I instructed the children to move, stretch, exert, and wiggle different muscles in their body.
Here are some examples of things we did:
- Simon says, "Wiggle and waggle your frontalis (forehead/eyebrow) muscles!"
- Simon says, "Stretch your trapezius (neck) muscles from side to side!"
- Simon says, "Roll your deltoid (shoulder) muscles back and forth, up and down!"
- Simon says, "Flex your bicep (arm) muscles!"
- Simon says, "Bend and stretch your oblique (side) muscles!"
- Simon says, "Shake your gluteus maximus (buns)!"
We had an absolute blast doing this!
