Week 4 of Nutrition Expedition: Parachute Fruit (and Veggies)!
September 29-October 3, 2014
Parachute Fruit (and Veggies)!
Rah, rah, radishes! Go, go, grapes! This week in Nutrition Expedition, we had fun playing with a giant parachute!
After a calming Yoga session, the children were introduced to our stuffed fruit and vegetable friends: radish, corn on the cob, watermelon, cucumber, and tomato. We tossed them around on a giant parachute in the Rec Room while listening to "We Eat Food That's Fresh", a song that goes by a book of the same title (I've included a link on the right-hand side of the blog, if anyone is interested for purchasing this for home). We had fun pretending to make "fruit salad", taking turns crawling underneath, and marching circles!
The infants enjoyed lots of tummy time, dancing to "We Eat Food That's Fresh", and playing with the stuffed fruit and veggie friends!
Enjoy the pictures of our energetic fun:
