X-Ray Explorations!
Nutrition Expedition went transparent this week as part of our bone study! We explored x-ray images of a human skeleton and a variety of animals!
I utilized our light table to show the children the x-rays, so that they could better view the images. It was very interesting! I challenged them to see if they could identify each animal skeleton, and we followed up by piecing together all of the human bone images to complete a full skeleton. In the words of one of the 3-year-old students, "That was a lot of fun!"
If you are interested in purchasing your own x-ray images for your child to examine at home, here is a link to the Discount School Supply website, where we purchased them a few years ago. They are a little pricey, but totally worth it! The children were fascinated!
